Here are some photos of the Wufong Project. It was split into three workshops, Photography, Art and Scrap booking. The children’s best works were framed in Hand-Made Bamboo and then auctioned off up in Taipei at The Pavilion of Aroma of Flowers Indigenous Museum. Please enjoy!
We taught the children basic photography skills through a workshop. They split into groups and then put into action what they learned. After the workshop each child was given their own snap shot camera. They had two weeks to take 24 exposures of their daily lives.
We taught the children basic abstract art, pencil sketching and Group Art. These exercises allow the children to express themselves freely.
The Auction Event
The Auction event was held at the Pavilion of Aroma of Flowers Indigenous Museum, in Taipei. 30 photos, 5 Art works and Four Large Community Canvases were on display for 2 weeks. At the End of the two weeks we had an Auction event. This included a silent auction for the smaller items and then a live auction for the larger items. Though the day was rainy, the event was a success and we were able to raise $270,000 nt just off of the children’s artworks. The remaining money was supplied by an inspired donor. Please enjoy the photos!
